Works well - as long as you have fast internet

I too felt compelled to write a quick review to counter the 19 negative reviews posted here. Im not sure if they refer to old resolved issues, but I just installed Air Display for use with my iMac and Macbook Pro (10.8.5).

I was having an intermittent black screen issue when pairing the displays using a Thunderbolt cable. The second monitor would blink everytime I scrolled on the control computer. I researched solutions and the offical Apple response (as far as I could determine) what that they were "aware" of the issue and there was no stable solution. I figured that paying $19 for this app and trying this as a solution was worth it considering my alternatives… dragging a iMac 27 inch monitor to the Mac store is not fun.

The app installed in minutes. I clicked the auto detect display button. Everything works perfectly. Full Retina resolution, no flickering or black screen blinking. Works perfectly. I have super fast internet and given that this display utilizes an internet connection I suspect that this is a major factor in the successful operation of the app.
