WASTE OF MONEY

WASTE OF MONEY!!!! PLEASE DO NOT BUY THAT FAKE APP. NOT WORKS AT ALL

Patience is a virtue.

It is evident to me, after visiting this page for the first time in a long while, that patience is not practiced often among many. I originally purchased this application on July 12, 2013. Being a convert to Apple for only a year at that time, I too quickly grew frustrated over how to properly activate this application for use. Eighteen months later, I am pleased to report that this app is a must-have, being a power-user with multiple Apple platforms. This beauty allows me to multitask on multiple desktops on multiple devices, simultaneously. An absolutely integral tool which has allowed me to maximize my productivity from anywhere, not just my home office, but anywhere. The lack of stability, originally inherent to the app, is cured, as of the date I type this review. For those power-users that lost patience early on, I gently suggest you reconsider. For those of you who haven’t yet experienced the marvelous benefits "Air Display” offers, I urge you to give it a go. I consider the accompanying price tag as money well spent.

Give it another try...

Like the previous reviewer, I hope that others who downloaded this reconsider their review. I NEVER review anything but I felt compelled to do so for this application. I am connecting a MacBook Pro on OS X 10 to an iPad Air. Considering this is extending a desktop over wireless, I am EXTREMELY pleased with this product. It did take me a little bit to connect both, but the help features of the app helped a lot. I used two monitors at home and at work and was looking for an application to make this option portable. I carry my iPad and my Mac around together anyway, so this is the perfect application for on-the-go work. I highly recommend. Once you make a connection to another device, the second time is much, much easier!

So Far So Good

Just installed this on my New Mac Pro to be able to use an older Macbook Pro as an auxilarly display. It works great so far. It’s not super fast, so don’t expect traditional display performance. However, it’s great for additional menus or windows.

Laggy, and lots of refresh lines

App doesn’t work for me. Running Yosemite and was told that the app does not work with Yosemite. Hoping I can get my money back as this was a huge waste of trouble shooting time for myself and my company. If you have Yosemite I would stay clear of this app.

AIR DISPLAY

NOT the app I needed to use my Ipad as a extra monitor, refund please!

App is not functional

The app does NOT work at all for Yosemite. Is there going to be an update?

Works well.

Seems to work like I’d expect (to allow me to extend the desktop from my MBP to the screen on my Mini).

It does what I need

I use it on Yosemite, El Capitan and even in Snow Leopard and on iOS 6, 7, 8. As a developer, the MacBook Retinas puny 15 inch screen is nowhere good enough for Xcode and I have spare iMacs without Thunderbolt and an old iPad running iOS 6. All of these work as extra displays without worrying about cables and target display mode. Considering that Thunderbolt displays are 1000 bucks, this 20 dollar app saves me 1000 bucks. It works for me and saves me time I can spend getting work done instead of messing around trying to get external iMacs and devices to see the other computer. I like it.

Major Lagging

This app has MAJOR LAGGING ISSUES. It is such a hassle and a huge disappointment. As a designer who needs to have both screens functioning at the same speed…I would not recommend this app. If you need minimal (and I mean zero to none) movement on the second display, this app is perfect.

Works well - as long as you have fast internet

I too felt compelled to write a quick review to counter the 19 negative reviews posted here. Im not sure if they refer to old resolved issues, but I just installed Air Display for use with my iMac and Macbook Pro (10.8.5). I was having an intermittent black screen issue when pairing the displays using a Thunderbolt cable. The second monitor would blink everytime I scrolled on the control computer. I researched solutions and the offical Apple response (as far as I could determine) what that they were "aware" of the issue and there was no stable solution. I figured that paying $19 for this app and trying this as a solution was worth it considering my alternatives… dragging a iMac 27 inch monitor to the Mac store is not fun. The app installed in minutes. I clicked the auto detect display button. Everything works perfectly. Full Retina resolution, no flickering or black screen blinking. Works perfectly. I have super fast internet and given that this display utilizes an internet connection I suspect that this is a major factor in the successful operation of the app.
